BIRD SCHOLAR Canada Edition app for iPhone and iPad

BIRD SCHOLAR Canada Edition provides a highly structured environment for learning the songs of 475 birds.

Three page views allow the user to inspect regional libraries of bird songs, learn songs through multiple choice interactions, and test the accuracy of identification by taking a 20 question BIRD SCHOLAR exam. Separate libraries can be selected to emphasize forest, grassland, marsh, predatory, shore and lake birds. A Favorites Library can be compiled to focus the learning experience on any limited set of birds.

The app is a particularly powerful tool for teaching bird songs to young children, which we believe is related to a childs exceptional ability to learn human languages.
